President & CEO
Those who know me know I am a passionate person. Between my wife, kids and grandchildren, golf, any movie with Will Farrell, or my Red Sox, I am always happy to talk about the passions in my life. Six years ago, I brought my passion for mental healthcare to NCG and I have enjoyed every moment since. Even more passions include ensuring that we treat our employees with unsurpassed respect, being responsible to our communities, and most of all helping those with mental illness. A proud Greyhound of Assumption College, I bring extensive experience from “C” level and management positions in organizations such as Inova Health System, Inova Alexandria Hospital, Capital Hospice, University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Rhode Island Hospital, and Pricewaterhousecoopers.
Chief Clinical Officer
My dad says what we do is "the work of angels.” Quality care is my passion. I love touching every program we provide through our work in the Institute. Coming up on 2 decades with NCG, I have had the rare opportunity to help shape a vision that, simply said, helps people. And while I love what I do, we all need respite from time to time, and travel is mine. If I can’t resist the pull of a work call, then a trip is in order! Maybe someday I'll leave my phone behind.
I want to make sure that we use resources wisely to promote efficient healthcare. I have been with NCG since 2010. My career, spanning four states, included manufacturing, insurance, healthcare, transportation and a marina. When not at work, I enjoy ballroom dancing, playing bridge (cards), and as much beach time as I can get in.
COO, Mental Health Services
I grew up playing sports in northern New Jersey. When annual soccer tournaments brought me to Virginia, I knew this would one day become home. I graduated from the University of Richmond in 1996 (B.A.) and from Springfield College in 1998 (M.S.), right before being hired as NCG's first community-based counselor. I am proud of NCG's growth and the opportunities to improve lives through our services. In my downtime, I enjoy golf, SportsCenter, chocolate, and Seinfeld re-runs. I root for the Yankees, Knicks, Rangers, Cowboys, and UVA. Why the Cowboys? Ask me.
COO, Treatment Foster Care
I was excited to find my home with National Counseling Group in March of 2010. I have been a long-time athlete, participating in softball, lacrosse and cheerleading since I was 8 years old. I continue to have a passion for fitness and enjoy running in races and competing in physique shows through the National Physique Committee. I have been happily married to the man of my dreams since 2012 and confidently exclaim that my biggest accomplishment in life is my son.
Vice President of Outpatient Services
I joined NCG in 2005 in order to make a difference in the lives of those that live in my community. I have a passion for people and doing things better. I am a ruthless optimist, an organizer, a connector, and a life lover. I am an addict of coffee, home decorating, sunshine, and all things seafood, especially blue crab. Above all, I love spending time with my husband and two daughters.
VP of Brand & Customer Experience
There is nothing I love more than finding creative and effective ways to serve people, and then sharing those success stories. Other than my wife, Rebecca, and my children, Mina and Hayden, this is my greatest joy. Of course, a close third is eating anything in mass quantity. Want to have lunch? We can eat and talk about services.
VP of Analytics
I am a second degree black belt in a peaceful Japanese martial art called Aikido, which I have studied for 9 years. I also play the drumset in two bands, and have the great fortune of touring Europe and the US each year. Numbers, science, and music are lifelong passions, and I enjoy problem-solving and understanding what makes things tick. I have two wonderful children, a son and a daughter, and a beautiful wife whom I have known since childhood.
VP of Human Resources
I moved here from Colorado in 1997, and assumed I would soon return to the West. It turns out that Virginia is fantastic, so I settled here, joining the NCG team in 2001. As a LCSW, I’ve worked in many different roles at NCG, and when offered an opportunity in Human Resources, I jumped at the chance to further support the life-changing work we do every day. When I'm not working, you can find me in the great outdoors with my family and my best friend, Hawkeye the English Pointer.
Regional VP, NOVA Community-based Services
I joined National Counseling Group in 2000. I am currently the Regional Director for the Northern Virginia Offices. I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, and being around people. I am dedicated to the work National Counseling Group does for families and enjoy working daily with the amazing clinicians at NCG.
Regional VP, SWVA Community-based Services
I have been a part of our wonderful NCG family for the past 12 years. My background in cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational enhancement drives my work with clients in need. I have a strong passion for working with our counselors and community partners to make a difference in the lives of people we touch. I love rocking to Springsteen, spending time with family, dogs AND cats, reading fiction, working out, antiquing with my wife and fixing up the house. I have long been dreaming about being on the reality show "Survivor"!
Regional VP, SEVA Community-based Services
I have been with NCG since August of 2003. I received my B.A. in psychology and an M.S. in clinical psychology while playing and coaching baseball at Virginia State University. Over the years, I have maintained numerous roles within NCG. My current position is Vice President of Operations for the Southeast region. I am extremely passionate about assisting all people with reaching their fullest potential. Prior to NCG, I worked for Crater Youth Care Commission as a community service officer and worked in a group home. My hobbies include semi-pro baseball and engaging in anything competitive. I also enjoy spending time with my 12-year-old son, Jon.
I have lived in Roanoke for over 35 years. In addition to my love of psychiatric medicine, I love playing golf and drumming in my spare time. Co-workers have lovingly dubbed me G2, and I am the founder of both Walnut Avenue Associates and Avenues to Recovery. I am board certified in addiction psychiatry as well as adult and geriatric psychiatry. I enjoy helping people help themselves.
